Dear Alumnae,UNESCO is pleased to invite you to the special event ‘Unpacking STEM Careers: Her Voice in Science’, organised to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the International Day of Girls and Women in Science, on Tuesday, 11 February 2025. Date: Tuesday, 11 February 2025Time: 2:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., then 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. (Paris time, CET // You may attend either session or both) Venue: UNESCO Headquarter (Room II), 125 Avenue de Suffren, 75007 Paris, France // Or onlineEvent overviewUnder the theme “Unpacking STEM Careers: Her Voice in Science”, and building on the 2024 UNESCO Call to Action “Closing the Gender Gap in Science”, the afternoon session will highlight the critical role of women in scientific innovation and discuss the need for inclusive representation in the media to challenge gender stereotypes in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) careers. The celebrations will continue in the evening with the screening of the documentary “Women of Science: These women who change our lives”, directed by Safia Kessas and produced by Iota Production.
