The African Academy of Sciences is inviting early-career professionals to take part in a Science Diplomacy Workshop on 26 August 2025, taking place in person in Pretoria, South Africa, and accessible online.
The workshop aims to strengthen the capacity of emerging leaders to engage with science diplomacy as a tool for regional cooperation and sustainable development.
Participants will explore how science diplomacy can help address major challenges such as climate change, health, and food security, and support Africa’s voice in international science and policy spaces. The programme includes case studies, expert insights, and interactive exchanges between researchers, policymakers, and diplomats.
