Dear L'Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science Alumnae,
UNESCO and Gender Scan are conducting a global survey to understand the challenges and opportunities for students in the fields of science and technology.
Participation takes just 15 minutes and can be accessed via the following link: https://stu2024.genderscan.org
- Who is this survey for? This survey is for all students aged 16 to 40 enrolled in vocational training, bachelor's, master's, and doctoral programs, or equivalent studies in STEM fields. These areas encompass a wide range of studies, including astronomy, biology, chemistry, computer science, engineering, earth sciences, health sciences, information technology, mathematics, physics, and more.
- What does the survey involve? It focuses on understanding the obstacles and motivations in students' educational journeys within university programs, confronting gender biases directly.
- What is our objective? Insights from this survey will be instrumental in shaping discussions at the upcoming G20 Summit in November 2024, driving policy and advocacy efforts towards fostering gender equality in STEM.
We deeply appreciate your support in disseminating this survey among your student body.
Together, let us endeavor to create a more inclusive and equitable landscape within the realm of science!
All the best,
The UNESCO Gender Division & The L'Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science Team
