Public meetings of the 28th (Ordinary) Session of the IBC and 12th Ordinary Session of COMEST
The public meetings of the 28th (Ordinary) Session of the International Bioethics Committee (IBC) and the 12th (Ordinary) Session of the World Commission on the Ethics of Scientific Knowledge and Technology (COMEST) will be held virtually from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. (GMT+1) on 2 and 3 December 2021.
These two-day public meetings will address the main work topics of the IBC for 2020-2021 on the Principle of Protecting Future Generations, and on the Ethical Issues of Neurotechnology, as well as the new working topic of COMEST on the Value of Science and on the Ethics of Climate Engeneering. During the public meetings, the IBC and COMEST will also present their series of Joint Statements on COVID-19.
The working languages for the session will be English and French. All relevant documents will be prepared in these two languages and will be made available on this webpage prior to the meeting.
