Advancing digital and AI competencies: Sub-regional seminar for Anglophone countries in Africa
Fourth Sub-regional Seminar for Anglophone G77 + China Countries
Organized by UNESCO, this online seminar will take place on Monday, 16 July 2025, bringing together representatives from 23 African countries, international AI experts, and UNESCO specialists from field offices and institutes.
Held under the framework of the project “Digital competencies for teachers and students in Member States of G77 + China”, and funded by the Group of 77 and China, this event aims to strengthen digital and AI skills among teachers and students, empowering them to become responsible users of AI.
Through expert-led discussions and regional knowledge-sharing, the seminar will explore how inclusive and future-ready education systems can take shape across the African continent.
