A Discussion with Prof. Marleen Temmerman: "My Journey in Women’s Health and Rights"
Dear FWIS Alumnae,
We are delighted to announce the launch of our new series of scientific discussions. Throughout these sessions, scientific experts will share their experiences, providing valuable insights into their career journeys and offering advice. Each session will delve into a different scientific topic.
For our first session, we are thrilled to welcome Prof. Marleen Temmerman. Prof. Temmerman has dedicated her career to advancing women, adolescent, and child health and rights on a global scale. Her multifaceted role extends across academic leadership, research, teaching, mentorship, clinical experience as an obstetrician/gynecologist, development and politics. Her work in the international arena with governments, multilateral organisations, academia, professional bodies, development agencies, private sector, civil society, parliaments and the United Nations, as well as non-governmental and faith-based organisations, reflects her dedication to making a lasting impact on global health.
To ensure meaningful participation and foster interactive discussions, we will maintain small group settings for these sessions.
Priority access will be granted to FWIS Alumnae with expertise in the relevant field; for this first session, FWIS Alumnae with a background in the field of health will be given priority.
