Event overview
Each year, the Fondation L’Oréal and UNESCO celebrate the remarkable achievements of five extraordinary women scientists through the prestigious L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science International Awards. Among the laureates since the programme’s launch in 1998, seven have received a Nobel Prize in Science. This initiative not only highlights the groundbreaking research of these exceptional scientists, but also shows that talent and competence know no gender boundaries.
As this year’s Laureates will receive their awards on Tuesday, 28 May, we invite you to join us for a unique exchange with these inspiring scientists the following day. You will discover their pioneering research and learn firsthand how they are contributing to addressing pressing global challenges. You will also gain valuable insights from them on the indispensable role of women in scientific progress, and discuss actions to collectively close the gender gap in science.
