2025 World Engineering Day for Sustainable Development
UNESCO is pleased to invite you to the celebrations of the World Engineering Day for Sustainable Development, which will take place on Tuesday, 4 March 2025, from 9:30 a.m. to 17:05 p.m. at UNESCO Headquarters (Room II), in Paris.
Proclaimed by UNESCO’s General Conference in 2019 (40 C/64), World Engineering Day for Sustainable Development underscores the critical role of engineering in addressing global and local challenges, from ensuring clean water and energy to enhancing resilience and reducing technological disparities.
Under the umbrella of the International Decade of Sciences for Sustainable Development (IDSSD), this year’s event, "Unleashing the Power of Engineers to Advance the SDGs", will bring together policymakers, scientists, industry leaders, and engineering organizations to foster collaboration and innovation for sustainable development.
