The registration deadline has expired.

Join this online event organized by UNESCO, together with the International Mathematical Union and IMAGINARY, to celebrate the International Day of Mathematics 2026 under the theme Mathematics and Hope.

Mathematics, like hope, is a universal language that helps us understand the world, navigate uncertainty and build trust in knowledge. This global webinar will explore how mathematical thinking contributes to human well-being, education, innovation and sustainable development, while fostering cooperation and shared solutions across societies.

Bringing together leading mathematicians and educators from around the world, with the participation of Dr. Kateryna Terletska (2019 FWIS Ukraine Programme winner), the event will offer reflections on the role of mathematics in strengthening social cohesion, resilience and more inclusive futures. It will also provide a space for dialogue and international exchange on how mathematics education and research can serve the common good.
