Gender, Behavior and Decision-Making seminar - The Menopause Penalty
Join us on Tuesday, 29 April 2025, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM (CET)
for the 28th session of the “Gender, Behaviour and Decision-Making” series, organized
by the UNESCO Chair Women and Science at Université Paris Dauphine–PSL.
Aiming to shed light on often-overlooked health-related challenges that women face in the workplace, Gabriella Conti, Professor in Economics at University College London, will present a pioneering study that uncovers the long-term economic repercussions of menopause, using extensive data from Scandinavia.
The findings highlight significant declines in income and employment, particularly among women from lower socio-economic backgrounds.
